Rebecca Goodman is the author of three fictions: The Surface of Motion (Green Integer Press 2008); Aftersight (Spuyten Duyvil Press 2015); Forgotten Night (Spuyten Duyvil Press 2023)+ co-author of one textbook: The Assignment: Why am I Writing This Essay? (Fountainhead Press 2011).
Her work has appeared in the Notre Dame Review, Denver Quarterly, Mantissa , Western Humanities Review, Mad Hatters’ Review, Marginalia, and the American Book Review.
She has read from her fictions at various literary venues, including Louffa Press DIY Porto Performance Artists: Index & Scores, Porto, Portugal and New York, the Exhibit X Fiction Series at the State University of New York at Buffalo, The Sorbonne, Notre Dame University, Cal Arts, Lake Forest College, KGB, New York, the Ukrainian Cultural Institute, New York, Eliot Bay Books, Seattle, Galleria Extra Moenia, Perugia, Italy, among others.
She was a founding Co-Director of Ischia Arts: The Program in Creative Writing in Umbria & Ischia, Italy from 2002 -2008.
In 2008, she was Co-Director of the &NOW Festival of Innovative Literature. She is a Member of the National Board of &NOW.
She lives in Southern California, where she teaches in the Creative Writing Program at Chapman University.
